Terms of service

Version of 11 September 2026. These are the terms between a school and Proscenium; the signed order for a plan refers to them and adds nothing that contradicts them.

1. The service

Proscenium is a school's public site, its monthly timetable, class booking and enrolment, memberships and payments, the front desk and the teacher's phone — on the school's own address, in Portuguese and English. What each part does is on the product page on the day you sign, and that description is part of these terms. A line there marked as coming, with the wave it is scheduled in, is a plan and not a promise: you are buying what is built.

2. The plans and their prices

Per organisation, per month, excluding VAT. Everything listed for a plan on the pricing page is included; there is no set-up fee, and there are no discounts — when it makes sense to give more, we add a bonus and keep the number.

The tier name is what goes on the invoice. Prices change only with 60 days' notice by email, and never inside a locked or prepaid period.

3. Your first month, before you pay

Signing up puts your school on its own address at once. No card is taken at sign-up and nothing is charged until you have chosen a plan and either given a payment method or accepted an invoice. The first month is yours to migrate in — it is a launch with a month to move, not a trial period. If the month ends and you have not chosen to continue, a person writes to you before anything is switched off; nothing of yours is deleted without notice.

4. Term, renewal and leaving

The term is twelve months, billed monthly; prepay the year and the price is locked for twenty-four. In the first ninety days you may leave at any time — that is the switch-back: a full export of your data and content, and the last month refunded. After the ninety days the term runs to its end, and leaving at the end of it is the same export, then thirty days in which it can still be asked for, then deletion. Tell us by email; a cancellation is confirmed by a person, in writing.

5. The guarantees

Four, and they are part of these terms:

We do not promise enrolments. What fills a class is the school; what we promise is that nothing on our side gets in the way.

6. Money: whose it is and what we take

7. What is yours

The content, the photographs, the students and everything about them, the domain, the name: the school's. We license the platform and acquire no rights over what is published on it. We never use one school's data for another, and nothing on a customer's site carries our name unless the school chooses to say it. On request we hand you all of it as one archive — the database rows as data, the files as files — at any time, not only when you leave.

8. What is expected of the school

9. Availability and support

A person answers within one working day, and within four hours with a named contact on the Network plan. Planned maintenance is announced ahead; an incident that affected you is reported to you in writing. Backups run nightly and the restore is drilled; a full recovery is the previous night's data plus your files.

10. Liability, in plain words

We are liable for what we get wrong, up to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before it happened. We are not liable for a class that did not fill, a student who did not show, lost profit, or what a provider of yours did with your money. Nothing here limits what Portuguese law does not allow to be limited — fraud, gross negligence, and harm to a person.

11. Changes to these terms

Thirty days' notice by email for anything that matters, and the version date at the top moves. Keep using the service after the date and the new terms apply; leave before it under the old ones.

12. Governing law

Portuguese law, and the courts of Lisbon. Before any court, a conversation — and, where a consumer is involved, the complaints book and the alternative dispute resolution bodies linked in the footer.

How data is handled — yours, and your students' — is in the privacy notice. The data processing agreement is sent on request before anything is signed.
